Sibling Brain Builders empowers older elementary school students, mostly 4th and 5th graders, to read to younger siblings at home, exposing them to more words and helping build their brains. As a welcome byproduct, the SCI program is also increasing the reading level of the older siblings that participate. Several schools in the Pensacola area are employing the program, and enjoying the impact. Sibling Brain Builders is just one of many SCI initiatives designed to build brains, increase kindergarten readiness, and help make Pensacola America’s first Early Learning City.
